LOST IN THE CARIBBEAN

Siboney sailed out of Playa Grande at dusk on the 21st of June, 1974, in company with Polaris, skippered by Siro Cugini. As expected the wind was on the nose as was the ¾ knot current which made for an uncomfortably slow slog. Destination: Grenada. We rafted near Cabo Codera to fill our young crew with broiled steaks. Two hours later anchors were hoisted, sails set and bow aimed towards Margarita Island.
